Check Point

At this point we must check our radio to make sure all of our blocks are functioning correctly.

Step 1, make a functioning detector without Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
IF without agc picture

Off the third (LAST) IF stage make this simple detector and connect it to the audio amp.  (Third stage IF shown)

Step 2, connect a six foot wire on the "RF" in on the mixer,  you should be able to tune in some local channels with the gang cap.

If you can tune no channels check the output of IF 303 for signal with the oscilloscope while tunning the gang, and go up the line of IFs with a signal generator tuned to 455 Khz untill you find the non functioning circuit and correct the problem.

You might try adding some more voltage with the voltage regulator adjustment, but most likely there is a problem; find it.

If your circuit was working as I said and it stops here, check where you last left off.
